Iran is willing to resume nuclear discussions with Washington as long as it is approached with "respect" and "respect", Iran's top diplomat has declared.

Abbas Araghchi declared solely negotiations was effective, and revealed recent overtures had come from intermediaries to reopen talks with the American leadership. He said Iran did not have secret atomic facilities, and Tehran was not yet able to permit the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect attacked atomic facilities for protective measures.

Walking a Challenging Course

Araghchi is navigating a complex path since Iran aims to avoid be perceived to be acting from a position of disadvantage, and he emphatically stated that Iran had come out more resilient in military terms and mentally from the Israeli-US attack on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the impasse in the prior discussions.

Prior Discussions Unexpectedly Terminated

The previous five rounds of negotiations between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and bitter termination on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, attacked Iranian nuclear sites in a two-week conflict that culminated with the US president declaring the sites had been obliterated. Subsequently, Western states used their authority to reinstate international penalties, but Iran insists they have not had a significant effect.

Magic Solution Proposed

Iranian officials said they felt they had achieved a "ideal resolution" to the uranium processing matter in earlier negotiations, when it was settled an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could enrich uranium. Both sides would have been able to declare success since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's nuclear programme was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been decided in the discussions that Washington's technical specialists could function inside Iran, but that was a reasonable assumption of the partnership suggestion. Representatives claimed on multiple occasions they had secured an understanding with Washington's diplomat the American negotiator only for the deal to fall apart due to "opponents in the US".

Current Status

Iranian officials declared the partnership proposal was now off the table, but it seems very probable the suggestion could be reintroduced in various formats if discussions restart.

The American leader last week said he had been receiving messages that Iran wanted to resume discussions, but privately Iranian officials state they are not yet getting coherent offers from the United States either explicitly or from significant local go-betweens, such as the Qatari government, Egypt, the Omani authorities and the Saudi kingdom. Political Standpoint

In his address to the gathering, designed to depict the US as a controlling nation that exploits the notion of international law, Araghchi stated the fortnight-long engagement demonstrated the clash could not be resolved by military means. He stated the attacks began with a Washington's ultimatum for an total Iran submission and ended with an unconditional call for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is assured the initial Israeli attacks were executed with full US knowledge and coordination, making trust difficult to reestablish.

Negotiations Stays the Final Resolution

Araghchi stated: "It was not Iran that had deserted diplomacy; it was the United States and the European states that had repeatedly tried to dictate their will during the negotiations. Negotiations can still be viable and remains the primary answer to resolve disputes, but its requirements, guidelines and fundamentals must be adhered to."

"Provided that they talk to the citizens of Tehran with the tone of respect and respect, they will receive a reply in the identical tone."

Repair and Recovery

In what is characterized by Tehran representatives as the struggle of repair and rebuilding, Araghchi stated he was certain Iran's security strengths "are much stronger than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been rebuilt. We acquired numerous insights from this war; we have identified our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the enemy."

He stated: "We successfully passed this conflict. Our nuclear technology, which they aimed to eliminate, continues to exist. The sites and machinery, if eliminated, will be restored; what is essential is the determination of the Iranian people and then the social solidarity that they aimed at, but failed to shatter. The citizens of Tehran have developed stronger, more cohesive, and more endorsing of the leadership and the state in the aftermath of this invasion."
